Yippee!

I acknowledge that I live on the traditional land of the Chumash People who still live here today.

I honor their connection to this land and thank them for allowing me the opportunity to enjoy all of its beauty. I also recognize that violence, displacement, and colonization have been integral parts of the history of California, and pledge to continue educating myself on the real impacts that these actions have had on Indigenous communities. I support efforts for Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination.
